Grandma Irene's whipped shortbread

Here is the recipe for the only thing I will actually bake during the Christmas season. Simple but I love them.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1 cup butter or margarine — I use regular Becel, but never use lite

 

Directions:

Sift dry ingredients Put all in bowl and beat with mixer.

Grease cookie sheet lightly.

Bake 300 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Put oven rack in middle of oven.
