Hot Mushroom Dip

Nothing says holidays like the smell of great food and being surrounded by family and loved ones. This holiday season, we asked our staff to share their favourite recipes. On behalf of WinnipegREALTORS®, we hope you enjoy these recipes and wishes for a healthy, happy new year!

2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
3 cups chopped mushrooms
1 package cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dillweed
1-1/2 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno (TexMex)
1/2 cup mayo



Melt margarine in frying pan.

Add onions, garlic & mushrooms. Cook about 10 minutes until liquid is evaporated and mushrooms are golden.

Remove from heat.

Add next 4 ingredients and stir until cream cheese is melted.

Add Monterey Jack cheese and mayo, mix well.

Spread in ungreased baking casserole.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until heated through.


Serve with crackers.
