MHBA’s Home Expressions Show

A sign that spring has arrived is  the annual Manitoba Home Builders’ Home Expressions Show, running this year until Sunday, March 21.

Each year over 20,000 people visit Home Expressions. All three floors of the Convention Centre are filled with the latest innovations for the home and garden. There are over 600 booths of products and information to help you upgrade your current home or to give you ideas for the design and finish of a new home.

The weekend show presented is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The fabulous early spring weather  has caused many of us to start thinking about repairs, renovations and outdoor work earlier than usual. In addition to the various exhibitor booths, there are informative stage presentations on the hour.

There are an assortment of prize draws, culminating with a $20,000 set of prize draws for a Master Spa from Krevco, a patio dining set from Wicker World and a pool table from LCL Spas and Billiards. The draw tickets are only $5 for two tickets with all revenue going to Variety — the Children’s Charity.

There are a number of special feature attractions. St. Mary’s Nursery and Barkman Concrete are creating a Tuscan ruin garden court. HGTV’s Samantha Pynn, star of Pure Design, will be featured on the Free Press Lifestyle Stage on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. Samantha is renowned for her home decoration magic, bringing practical sustainability to reality. The Canadian Decorator’s Association is presenting the Dare to Dream Home, five interactive rooms of unique

décor that have to be seen to be fully appreciated.

At no other time and no other place can you do this much comparison shopping. All of the best suppliers and manufacturers in Manitoba are under one roof, presenting a variety of options for your home needs. Others may say that they are presenting “show class specials,” but there is only one true place where the real show specials exist — this weekend at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

Whether you are home renovating, home decorating, home designing or home dreaming, everything that you need is at the Home Expressions Show, brought to you by the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association and presenting sponsor Rona.

The possibilities are endless. Revive your home with kitchens, baths, interior design, appliances, electronics, home furnishings, lifestyle products, fashion, living green and more.

Drop by the Convention Centre Saturday or Sunday to see the best and newest trends for your home and garden.

Not only does this annual home show indicate spring is upon us, but it also is a harbinger of more resale MLS® activity. Judging from statistics for the first 15 days of March, buyers and sellers are already getting into the MLS® market in a big way.

Tickets for Home Expressions are available at the door.
