Looking for enthusiastic volunteers

Winnipeg will host the Canada Summer Games from July 28 to August 13, 2017. The Canada Games are this country’s largest multi-sport and cultural event for young athletes.

The remarkable size of the Games brings to light the need for the Host Society to assemble a team of 6,000 outstanding volunteers. Volunteer interviews are being scheduled and accreditation, training, and orientation will begin early next year. Before you know it, it’ll be Games time.

The 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society is looking for enthusiastic supporters to assist in accreditation, operations, spectator services, ticketing, transportation and a number of other exciting areas. Behind every exciting moment at the 2017 Canada Summer Games, you’ll find volunteers making the hottest summer in half a century happen.

Over 4,000 athletes and coaches and over 20,000 spectators will come to Winnipeg to participate in the Games.  These athletes are the next generation of national and Olympic champions. They have big dreams of continuing their careers in sport and these Games will have a major impact on those dreams. You can help to make sure the impact is a positive one.

Volunteering provides many valuable opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Thousands of people will be involved in these Games as athletes, coaches, visitors, VIPs and volunteers, which leads to endless opportunities to make new friends, socialize, and network. The Games also  provide an in-depth volunteer training program, which can help expand your professional portfolio.

The thousands of volunteers needed to deliver a successful Games guarantees there will be a position you are well-suited for, and now is the time to sign up. There are only nine short months until the Opening Ceremonies on July 28, 2017.
