I'm Jennifer (Jen) Queen-born in Kenora, shaped in Winnipeg, and built for real estate long before I realized it. If there was a childhood hustle to try, I tried it. Lemonade stands? Check. Flower sales? Absolutely. Car washes for grad party fundraising? You bet. I didn't know it at the time, but all those little ventures were the warm-up act for the career I'd eventually fall head over heels for. Moving to Winnipeg for university cracked my world wide open. It was loud, busy, exciting, overwhelming… and exactly what I needed. I earned my Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Finance, then my MBA in Marketing, but more importantly, I learned how to navigate life, people, and change. Today, I still take courses constantly because I genuinely believe you can never be too prepared, too informed, or too curious. Mentoring new agents is one of my favourite parts of this job, there's something special about helping someone else build their career. I became a REALTOR(R) in 2011, and since then, I've helped hundreds of people through one of life's biggest transitions. My days start with coffee and strategy, marketing, planning, problem solving, and end with whatever real estate throws my way: showings, negotiations, late night paperwork, and all the tiny details that make a move actually work. At home, life is best described as "organized chaos." My husband, Logan, and I tag team raising our three kids, Everly, Blaine, and Asher, and on most days, we're outnumbered. Logan and I reconnected in university and have been partners in life and business ever since. He's also a REALTOR(R) on our team, and truly, some of our best ideas have been scribbled down during an open house or whispered across the kitchen while the kids argue over who stole whose Lego. I'm a proud workaholic, not because I have to be, but because I genuinely love what I do. Whether I'm out with clients, writing a blog post, filming a YouTube video, prepping a client package, or brainstorming with the team, this work lights me up. And yes, when I finally sit down to relax, I'm probably reading a garbage book or watching garbage reality television. It's my version of meditation. My kids are my biggest motivators. I want them to grow up seeing that hard work can build beautiful things, stability, opportunity, and options. My own dad passed away when I was still young, and I think a lot of my drive comes from that experience. And while my family fuels me, what propels me every day in this career is simple: I care about people. Really care. Going the extra mile isn't a marketing line, it's just who we are. Sometimes that means prepping a client's home while they're away, helping an elderly seller clear out decades of belongings, or quietly handling the behind the scenes stress so someone else doesn't have to. Clients feel that, and they tell me they feel it. That's the part that sticks with me. Family is at the center of everything I do, and I want every client to feel that same level of care. My team and I live by the Golden Rule: treat every person the way we'd want our own family treated. With three kids, a busy life, and more sports practices than I can count, I get how stressful buying or selling can be. And that's why I work so hard to make the process smoother, clearer, and far less overwhelming.
