My name is Gloria Manlapaz, a real estate agent with MaxWell Edge Realty in Winnipeg, Manitoba and an immigrant from the Philippines, arrived in Canada on Christmas day, 1999. I am a living proof of a hardworking single mother of two that came here just our luggage and a few dollars in my pocket but with a will to survive. A determination, courage, perseverance and belief that nothing is impossible are my pillars of success. I started to be independent at the age of 17, worked in a pharmaceutical company(Marsman) and a graduate with a degree in Business Administration in the Philippines at the age of 19.

Living as an immigrant and a single mother is not easy, but I have to say as a people person, I am blessed to have made good friends here in Canada that helped me, I was able to build a life for my family without going through government support programs. I managed to buy our dream house after 2 years, paid the mortgage after 15 years of ownership and currently a Landlord for other properties.

Before my real estate career, I was a full time front line worker in the nursing home and working in health care has given me the satisfaction of giving back to our community. We do owe so much to our seniors for their tremendous contribution in our society and proud to be a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. I am very passionate of looking after my clients that is why learning is the key to be an effective real estate agent, also proud to be a Certified New Home Specialist (CNHS) and Residential Construction Certified (RCC).

Some of my personal accomplishments are; A disciplined black belt in Taekwondo, a participant of the Alzheimer, cancer care society, the Manitoba marathon and the Winnipeg Police marathon.
