Growing up in Kenora, Ontario I fell in love with the great outdoors. This love of the natural world led me to pursue my education at the University of Manitoba, where I received my Bachelors degree in science with a major in Biology. For years I worked throughout Manitoba and Canada doing research on freshwater fish. This led me to beautiful places within our country and our province, but ever since my university days I have truly felt at home in Winnipeg.

Throughout my years of travel my love of the City of Winnipeg grew and after becoming homeowners in 2008 my love of home ownership and the real estate market was ignited. That feeling of owning a house and knowing that this residence truly is your home is a feeling that changed my view on life. I finally understood and appreciated the effort and energy others put into their homes. This appreciation and understanding led to an increasing interest in the ability to transform a property, seeing it for the bones and structure and how to completely make a house your own home.

In 2006 I reconnected with a high-school friend (and former crush) from Kenora, Jen, and quickly realized that she was so much more than a friend. We married in 2010 and it truly was the best day of my life. In 2015 we found out our family was going to grow by one. This amazing news led me to plan a year of parental leave from my career to be close to home and focus on our daughter, Everly. This has been the best decision of my life. Keeping up with our busybody daughter has given me an increased love for life and has led me to pursue my love of real estate.

I started as the “sign guy” for Jen, putting up the open house signs and feather flags that are a trademark of our open houses. While assisting Jen my appreciation for the process of real estate grew and I received my real estate license to help people find their first home, forever home or their next adventure. Now Jen and I are able to support each other and our clients as we help each one travel down this amazing road of home ownership.
